Marion County's Layla Spring Returning to 'American Idol' [VIDEO]

A Marion County teen is getting a second chance on American Idol. Layla Spring, who made it to the top 12 girls in season 16, will be back for season 18 of the singing competition.

Spring, along with two other former "fan favorites" sang for fans in taped segments that aired during Sunday night's American Music Awards broadcast on ABC.

Fans voted online and on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars finale, 'Idol' judge Lionel Richie revealed who would be heading back to the competition for a second chance.

Season 18 of American Idol will premiere Sunday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. CT.
