My Concert Bucket List
Whenever I think of summer, I think of hitting up all kinds of concerts and or concert festivals. I also get to thinking about those artists and bands I've never seen live, yet. Thus, I've compiled a more or less partial bucket list of who I am dying to see.
And these are in no particular order; they are in the order they came to mind.
Lady Gaga
Yeah, this is a big one to start off a list, but my lord! Singer, songwriter, performer, I need to see all this before too long. Next up for Gaga is her starring role in the remake of A Star is Born, it will be in theaters October 5th, I'll be there.
Loretta Lynn
This one needs to be sooner rather than later as "The First Lady of Country Music" hasn't been in the best of health in the past year. Even if she was sitting down singing, it wouldn't matter. Here's the latest message from Loretta herself
“Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and support. I’m happy to say that I’m at home with my family and getting better by the day! My main focus now is making a full recovery so that I can get back to putting all of me into what I love, sharing my music with all of you.
My new album, Wouldn’t It Be Great, was originally scheduled to come in August this year. I now want to wait to release it next year because this record is so special for me. It deserves me at my best and I can’t wait to share it. I want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me. I am getting stronger every day and can’t wait to get back out there with all of you. I’m just letting everybody know that Willie ain’t dead yet and neither am I, and I can’t wait to see all of you on the road!” I love it!
Pink
She has the pipes and she flies through the air, who wouldn't want to see that at least once? Me!
Chris Stapleton
I know, Chris Stapleton played in Owensboro the summer before he really hit it big, I had a chance to go and I didn't. Dang I regret it. I can't pass him up the next time he's around the area.
Sia
I've been of fan Sia's since before she decided to go incognito in her stage and personal appearances. Her choice not to reveal her face and let dancers and other visual performers is fascinating and I know it would be worth the price of a ticket.
Ryan Adams
Most people know his name because several years ago, a Nashville audience mistakenly thought he was pop singer Bryan Adams which made me very angry. This Adams has always been an artist doing his own thing and releasing his own music through his own company. We're talking well over 30 albums. He's a bit of a renaissance man in that way. He's one of the best modern singer/songwriters and musicians.
This a partial list, but last but not least....
CHER
Cher is in her early 70's and I know she has zero intentions of slowing down; she better not! She'll be back on the big screen this summer in the sequel to Mamma Mia!, Here We Go Again. This fall, a musical about her life, The Cher Show, will hit Broadway. Though I would love to see it, I would still prefer to see the real deal.
Now you, who is on your concert bucket list?
