National Prescription Take-Back Day Collection Sites
Do you have expired medicine in your cabinet? Have you lost a loved one, and aren't sure how to dispose of their medication? These collection sites can help tomorrow.
A safe and easy way for you to dispose of expired or unused prescription drugs happens on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. It's National Prescription Take-Back Day, which is a time to consider public safety and public health, by making sure unwanted medicine doesn't get in the wrong hands.
"According to the 2017 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet."
Expired or unused prescription drugs can be dropped off at any of these locations, between 10a-2p tomorrow. You can also check in with your local family pharmacy.
