President Obama was speaking at Georgetown University Tuesday.  He laid out new proposals for combating climate change.  He called for limiting carbon emissions for new and existing coal-fired power plants, and setting higher environmental standards for the approval of the controversial Keystone pipeline.  The president said its time to act now.  It's a very serious matter because temperatures are rising, sea level is climbing, the Arectic ice is melting and the world is doing far too little to stop it.  Hundreds of billions of dollars is at stake. President Obama also stating that he has little patients for people who believe that global warming, is just something to brush off.

Now before all this he mentioned how hot it was and encouraged everyone to take off their jackets and he himself did the same. As he took off his jacket, he got a few cheers.
