The Home of the Innocents, a home for at-risk youth in Louisville, recently got a huge and welcome surprise from an Academy Award winning actor.

Jon Voight, who won an Oscar for 1978's Coming Home, was in town filming a movie and made a Wal-mart run.

He got in line behind Sydney Gholston, the food and nutritional services director at the Home of the Innocents.

Voight made a comment about the six turkeys Gholston was purchasing for the home's Thanksgiving dinner and offered to buy them after she explained.

Those turkeys will feed about 70 children on Thanksgiving Day.

The Home of the Innocents provides care for children who are medically fragile or who have suffered abuse.

Jon Voight can be seen in the current box-office smash Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
