The world needs more good honest people.  Thomas and Gloria Purcell are searching for one particular individual from here in Owensboro who showed great integrity to their family.

The Purcell's were on vacation at the end of March but their daughter Ryanne was home.  Gloria said they have a Ring doorbell system and it alerted her and her husband someone was at their front door.  She decided even though someone was home to answer she would do it instead.

When she came to the door through Ring there was an unfamiliar face.  The lady told her she had a stimulus check that belonged to them and it was delivered to her address on the opposite end of town.  She wanted to make sure they received it and got in her car and personally delivered it.

Unfortunately, the Purcell's didn't get the name of this woman and have since been trying to figure out how to find her.  Gloria contacted me and told me the story.  She asked if we could get the word out on radio and maybe she listened to WBKR (I mean she should right?!)

Now here is where you all come in, we need help finding this woman.  If you are or know who this person was you can contact Gloria on her Facebook page or message/call us here at the station and we can send you in the right direction.

Most stimulus checks have a way to track when you will receive them but if you have not received your own check here is what to do.

And if you received someone else's check here is what you need to do according to Businessinsider.com:

1. Write "void" in the endorsement section on the back of the check.

2. Write a note to include with the check explaining why it's being returned.

3. Mail the check and the note to the IRS location based on the state you live in. The list of addresses is available on the IRS website.
