Ricky Evans of Owensboro has spent the last couple of years working hard to get himself into shape.  He committed to a regiment of eating right, working out and running and has lost 120 pounds in the process.  And, now, Ricky is literally ready to climb to new heights.  He's participating in the Fight for Air Climb in Indianapolis!  Yep!  He plans to raise money for the American Lung Association and climb 47 flights of stairs.

Okay!  Would you like to know just how many stairs are in 47 stories?  Saturday, March 3rd, Ricky and the other participants are going to hoof it up 1,054 steps!  But Ricky is going to have a lot of inspiration getting him to the top of the Salesforce Tower in Indy!

He is tackling the Air Climb in honor of his dad, who passed away from lung cancer seven years ago.

He is also climbing in memory of his mother who passed away last year on Thanksgiving Day.

He is also donating extra money in order to have flags with his parents' names on them placed along the climb route.

While Ricky is participating in the Fight for Air Climb for obvious personal reasons, he's also looking to help the American Lung Association raise money for the fight against lung cancer and lung disease.  His fundraising goal is modest and he's looking for a little help to get him there.

Ricky is looking to raise $100 for his efforts.  If you would like to contribute, you can make your donation by CLICKING HERE!
