Owensboro To Celebrate Bicentennial Birthday During 4th of July Festivities
The City of Owensboro has a lot to celebrate this 4th of July. In addition to celebrating Independence Day, the city has announced plans for its big Bicentennial Birthday Party as well. Tuesday is going to be an exciting day! Here's what's planned.
First of all, what's a birthday party without cake? And what's a 4th of July party without fireworks? Owensboro has both covered!
The Bicentennial Birthday Party will take place at 6:30pm with a massive cake! And, even better news for you, free cupcakes for the first 1,000 people.
Owensboro's All-American Fourth of July will feature live music on stages in McConnell Plaza and the RiverPark Center Patio throughout the evening. Here's the schedule of performers attending.
Hayley Payne from 5:00-6:30pm
The Downtown Band from 7:00-10:15pm
Andy Brasher Band from 7:00-9:00pm on RiverPark Center Patio
In addition to live music, there will be food vendors and 4th Fest inside the Owensboro Convention Center. 4th Fest features free inflatables and carnival games for kids in the exhibit hall from 4:00pm – the end of the fireworks. While 4th Fest activities are free, you do have the chance to purchase amazing seats for the fireworks display. You can reserve a seat or an entire table with a buffet dinner in prime view of the fireworks on the terrace. Purchase your reserved seating tickets at www.owensborotickets.com.
And, adding to the fireworks fun, the Daviess County Fiscal Court will be joining the City for the occasion this year and we'll cap off the evening with the Owensboro's largest fireworks display downtown. Approximate time for fireworks is 9:15pm CST.
Be sure to get there early to set-up your lawn chairs and blanket and enjoy an evening full of entertainment for the entire family.
