Owensboro, Tri-State Could Be in for Warm, Not White, Christmas

As I write this, I just heard the end of "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas." The end is the best part of that song, because then it's over.

But if YOU wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas, and you're pretty sure you're gonna get one (and you don't care if the law says you CAN'T own one), then you're in look.

They love warm weather and, if everything we're hearing from the National Weather Service holds, that's what we're getting for Christmas.

Well, "warm" is relative. But NOAA says, right now, they're looking at a 70% chance of above normal temperatures.

Listen, I've been a proponent of snow on Christmas my whole life. Even when I was a kid and I got my new green Schwinn, there was a ton of snow on the ground and I still got out there on that bike. It wasn't easy, but I did it.

But I've changed my tune. I enjoy the outdoors too much now to be 100% down with being cooped up because of snow. Even on Christmas Day.

I'm not being a Scrooge. Bring on all the Christmas you got.

But if you could grill out while exchanging gifts, wouldn't that be awesome?
