Are you in the mood to cut down your own, fresh Christmas tree this year? The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky and Tennessee will let you cut your own cedar tree for the holidays

All you have to do, beginning Friday, is go HERE, go and set up a free account with the camping reservation system to obtain a Christmas Tree permit. You can also obtain a permit in person at the Administrative Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT November 29th through December 23rd.

Permits are available November 29th-December 24th online 24/7. You just need to print it out and display it in your windshield when you go to cut your tree. HERE are the cutting guidelines.
