Road Closures in Owensboro Due to High Water

According to the OPD:

Due to high water from this morning’s storm system the following roads in the City of Owensboro are closed until water has receded:

• West 4th Street at Orchard Street
• West 5th Street at Orchard Street
• West 2nd Street at Maple Street

Although the preceding roads are the only ones that have been currently listed as impassible it is important to stay vigilant of ever changing roadway conditions under threat of severe and ongoing weather related conditions.
Additionally, roads that are historically prone to flooding within the city limits of Owensboro should also be traveled cautiously. Never enter high water zones and seek alternate routes of travel whenever possible.
