The City of Whitesville is gearing up for its 13th Annual Fireworks in the Park celebration. It's set for Friday, June 25th and here's what's happening!

Whitesville's Mike Pate, a bus driver for East View Elementary School, learned some of the kid would be unable to afford to buy books at an upcoming book fair, so he did something about it.

Hunter Lane Howard will be laid to rest later today as hundreds of emotional tributes pour in. He was just 20 years-old when he passed away on Monday leaving a family, community in mourning. Let's celebrate his life.

It's our annual Christmas Wish Open House at the Whitesville Mercantile, and we're SO excited! It all gets started Saturday morning and just look at what's in store.

Last Friday night, the City of Whitesville got a jump start on the 4th of July holiday with their annual fireworks celebration at City Park.  Angel and her family went and said it was incredible.  If you missed like I did, check this out!  Chris Conley, with Mean Motion Media, used drones and multiple cameras to capture the display. "The Whitesville Lions Club is sponsoring an old-fashioned Chili Supper and Pie Auction to benefit the Wendell Foster Campus for Developmental Disabilities.  The event takes place Friday, May 6th, at the Whitesville Senior Citizens Center on Hwy. 54.
