Our long national nightmare will soon be over. The Glover H. Cary Bridge--the lifeline to the rest of the world (Natcher Bridge, notwithstanding)--will reopen on November 27th!

At this writing, that is as much as I know. The whys and wherefores about the extra 12 days--it was originally expected to be opened on the 15th--will come at a later time.

But here's what we know. Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go will be a much easier task now that Old Blue will be available to us one day prior to Thanksgiving Day.

Those of you who will be off for an extended holiday weekend and need that bridge to save you gas and save you time will return to work on Monday much more quickly. OR, you can sleep later.

Whichever.

But two weeks from today, the Glover H. Cary Bridge--the Blue Bridge, if you will--will cause us to have the "blues" no longer.
