The Goodfellows Club in Owensboro has been serving children in the Owensboro-Daviess County area since 1916 and is once again reaching out to you to help Clothe a Child.  This year's campaign officially kicks off this morning and donating has never been easier.  You literally can make a $75 donation via text message.  And here's what that $75 will do.

A $75 donation can and will Clothe a Child for an entire school year.  90% of all funds collected by the Goodfellows are donated by individuals from our community.  In the last eight years, those donations have allowed Goodfellows the opportunity to spend over $1.1 million dollars in clothing assistance.

In 2019 alone, Goodfellows clothed more than 1,550 children and spent more than $200,000 on shoes, coats and clothing.  And, each year, the Goodfellows Club hosts an annual Christmas party at which nearly 1,000 local children are provided toys, books and food.

Here's another incredible stat from the organization.  100% of the money raised in the community by the Goodfellows Club directly benefits the children served.  That work is accomplished through partnerships and working relationships with family and youth service centers at local elementary, middle and high schools.

If you would like to donate this year, there are three convenient ways to do so. The easiest manner of doing so is via text.

The Goodfellows Club began its long tradition here in Owensboro-Daviess County back in 1916, when it was founded by Lawrence Hager, Sr. Today, the organization is 104 years strong and continues on its annual mission to Clothe a Child.
