Our Granddaughter Lexie is 5 and will be heading to school full time in the fall. She is also at the age when kids get their permanent teeth. That means the baby teeth get loose and fall out. In the last week she has lost two.

Since our youngest is almost 30 and the eldest Granddaughter is 16, it has been many years since we have had to contend with the tooth fairy.

Simply put, we had no idea what the going rate is. We all know that the tooth fairy must be reembursed for expenses and stuff to insure Social Security will be around for another 10-15 years, but how much?

I went to the best source avialable, FACEBOOK, and asked my Facebook buddies to help me out. After a couple of hours it is clear to me they have no idea either. I thought you might enjoy some of their comments

Lexie didn't get the Kruggerand but she also didn't get 50 cents or a dollar. As this moment (if it hasn't been spent) she is walking around with a whopping $4 in her purse. Another small contribution has been made to her college account but we'll wait a few years to tell her about it.
