UK Freshman Kahlil Whitney Announces Transfer

John Calipari has revolutionized recruiting in his eleven seasons as the University of Kentucky head basketball coach.

Year-in, year-out he culls together impressive recruiting classes flush with blue chippers.

But sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Such was the case two seasons ago with Quade Green. Such IS the case right now with freshman Kahlil Whitney.

The 5-star freshman forward from Chicago announced his decision Friday on Twitter:

Whitney averaged 3.3 points in 18 games in which he was on the floor just under 13 minutes per contest.
