I happen to believe, from a completely objective point of view, that UK sophomore Tyler Ulis is the best point guard in the country. This kid's extraordinary talent is matched by his intelligence, his seeming wisdom-beyond-his-years.

The Southeastern Conference doesn't seem to disagree as it named Ulis the SEC's Player of the Year AND Defensive Player of the Year.

His averages are 16.6 points per game and 7.4 assists.

He had 14 assists Saturday afternoon in that win over LSU.

FOURTEEN!

To one turnover.

A 14-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is ridiculous.

Or should I say, ridic-ULIS, to borrow from Kentucky Basketball:

Ulis is the first Kentucky player to receive the honor since Anthony Davis in 2012.

He is also among the 10 semi-finalists for the Naismith Trophy.
