Last week, Angel and I visited Holiday World during Media Day.  We got to sample a bunch of new foods the park's serving this year (Loaded Pretzel Fries, a Caramel Apple Flurry and the insanely scrumptious Funnel Cake Fries).  We also got to climb on a few roller coasters too- Raven, Legend and Voyage.  And, we got to visit with Jolly Old St. Nick!  This year, Santa is leaning his ear your way with a fun, new, virtual experience.  That's right!  Santa is now VIRTUAL!

Now, I know what you may be thinking.  You're likely assuming that Virtual Santa wouldn't be the same as sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what you want for Christmas.  I'll admit it.  Angel and I were thinking the exact same thing.  And, yes!  Even as an adult, I never hesitate for a second to plop down on Santa's lap and hit him with my Christmas wish list.  As a matter of fact, the last time I was in New York City during the month of December, I stood in line at Macy's to get the chance to do just that.

Well, check this out.  This year at Holiday World, the North Pole has gone "high tech" with a breathtaking, captivating, mind-blowing Virtual Santa!

As you can tell, Santa knew we were taking a picture and he even posed and smiled for us!

And I love this photo too.  My buddy Eric Snow, VP at Holiday World, snapped this cool action shot.  I mean, look at those big, cheesy grins.

Santa knew my name as soon as I sat down.  In fact, he and Angel were already talking by the time I plopped down in the chair to join in the conversation.

Santa asked us how we were enjoying the park, what our favorite parts of the day had been and which foods we liked the best from all those we sampled.  We were able to ask Santa questions too.  As skeptical as we were going into our visit with the big guy, we left that visit spellbound by the spirit and wonder of Christmas, Santa and this incredible new interactive technology.

Holiday World President Matt Eckert says that Virtual Santa was a hit during Season Pass Holders Preview Weekend.  He said, "Some really magical moments unfolded between Santa and our guests."  If you're headed to Holiday World this summer, make sure your little elves have those same moments of magic.

Yes, Virginia.  There is a Santa Claus.  He's virtual.  And he lives in Indiana.

And, don't forget!  Here at WBKR, we're teaming up with our sister stations WKDQ and MY 105.3 WJLT for a new, exciting contest.  It's called The Great Cheetah Chase Race!  The grand prize- a brand new camper from Owensboro RV!  LOOK!
