Wal-Mart Hiring Hundreds of Drivers, Will Pay Them a Bundle
If you are looking for a job, you could SERIOUSLY do a lot worse than driving a truck for Wal-Mart in 2019.
WLWT-Cincinnati reports that the retail mega-giant is not only adding to its trucking workforce this year, it intends to pay those workers a whole lot of money.
I'm also intrigued by Wal-Mart's motivation. Concerned with a growing shortage of drivers in the industry as a whole, Wal-mart wants to stimulate that segment of the workforce.
The company says that, starting in February, drivers will earn an average of $87,500 a year.
That's amazing!
The Department of Labor says that tops the average pay for truck drivers by about $40,000.
Calling this opportunity "lucrative" is an understatement.
If you're looking for a job and don't mind driving a truck, here you go.
