Roam for Gnomes and Cool Prizes from the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is ringing in the holiday season with a fun, new interactive contest that gives you the chance to win gift cards from some of Owensboro's most popular small businesses.  All you have to do is look around the city for hand painted rocks.  There are twenty of them and they feature GNOMES!!

I love this too.  My friends over at WKRBC are really getting into the Christmas spirit.  They are letting folks know that "He 'gnomes' if you've been naughty or nice." LOL!  Honestly, they could deploy gnome puns for days.

So, here's the scoop.  Each week (and this started on Monday, November 15th, by the way), WKRBC will be placing five rocks per week somewhere in the community.  Your job is to find one of them.

If you find a Gnomie, simply follow the instructions and you'll receive the gift card that matches your Gnome!  WKRBC has twenty $20 gift cards from a variety of business.  That list includes:

Five Gnomies will be dropped per week the following weeks- Nov 15th, Nov 22nd, Nov 29th and December 6th. So, happy hunting as you roam for gnomes.

By the way, a couple of folks got off to a roaring start this week.  Two gnomes have already been turned in for prizes.  However, there are three left (as of the time I am writing this story).

Plus, check this out.  Monday, November 22nd through Wednesday, November 24th, each WKRBC donor will entered into a drawing for one of twelve $50 gift cards from locally-owned businesses.  As you all likely know, the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center supplies blood products for nine different medical facilities here in the region.  It's vitally important that they stock up the supply before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and this drive will help.
