Moving and Powerful Wreaths Across America Ceremony Coming to Owensboro

This December, folks here in Owensboro-Daviess County are going to get the opportunity to remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach local children the value of freedom. Wreaths Across America will once again be celebrated here in town.

The event is set for 11am, Saturday, December 17th, 2022. Wreaths Across America and its local volunteers will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens to lay wreaths on the graves of local fallen heroes who served our country and a buried at the cemetery.

In addition to having their graves marked with a wreath, each veteran's name will be said aloud and recognized in a special ceremony.

Organizers of the event are currently looking to you for help in making Wreaths Across America as memorable and as impactful as possible. Sponsorships are currently available and, if you're interested, you can sponsor one or more wreaths for the event.

The Owensboro division- KYOMGO- has set a goal for 2022. They hope to get sponsorships for approximately 1750 wreaths.

The deadline to sponsor a wreath is Tuesday, November 8th.

Owensboro Memorial Gardens is located at 5050 Kentucky Highway 144, just beyond Reid's Orchard.
