As I get older, I'm more and more aware of how important nostalgia is for me personally, with regards to getting and then BEING in the Christmas spirit.

Nobody experiences Christmas like a child. We adults may love the stuffing out of the Yuletide but, like trips to Disney World, the "magic" naturally drifts away as we get older. (Think the fading of the Imaginary Friend in Pixar's Inside Out.)

But the great memories are always there. And as for the holiday spirit itself? We find that in the past as well, I think.

For example, I've always loved checking out Christmas lights with those great old 40s and 50s Christmas songs in the background--just like when I was young.

It's why my favorite holiday specials--two of which are older than I am--will never grow old, despite the fact that they are for "kids."

Kids of all ages, I say.

So what if you were to get PAID to watch holiday movies? Seriously. What if a website--namely Reviews.org--wanted to give you $2,500 to do something you already love doing?

Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? This is so cool. If you are selected, you'll watch 25 holiday movies and fill out a short post-movie survey about the film (the review). Reviews.org has provided selections for you, but you can throw in your own, like Die Hard, for example, which has become a favorite Christmas movie over the years but isn't in the website's suggestion list, although they DO mention it.

But, looking at the list, I see a lot of tried and true favorites and some of them are only a half-hour long.

Oh and you won't just be collecting a $2,500 paycheck. You'll also get free one-year access to seven streaming platforms--Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Apple TV+, and Hallmark Movies Now.

What an opportunity. If you clicked on that link I provided, then you know how this will all work AND you have the application.

So, fill it out and good luck. Have fun and happy holidays.
