Bill Would Award Diplomas to Special Needs Students
A bill has passed the Kentuck Senate that would allow special needs students to be rewarded with a diploma upon completing a course schedule laid out for them by school districts. Currently special needs students and select other only get a certificate and NOT a diploma.
Many feel this is a wrong that needs to be corrected and one Kentucky Senator is speaking up and leading the charge. He is Dennis Parrett from Elizabethtown. Senator Parrett is hoping the bill will be passed out of the house and on the Governor Beshear for signing soon.
Senator Parrett explains why this bill is important to so many in the Bluegrass State.
