Brush Fire Threatening Homes, Major Distillery Rickhouse in Bardstown [VIDEO]

A brush fire is currently threatening homes and a major bourbon rickhouse--a bourbon barrel storage facility--in Bardstown.

According to WLKY-Louisville, and as I write this, the fire is about 100 yards from the Heaven Hill Distillery's bourbon rickhouse.

It's not hard to see the urgency here, and I'm certain it's not lost on the firefighters on the scene or Bardstown citizens, since a fire at Heaven Hill in 1996 destroyed seven warehouses.

Extremely dry conditions have led to burn bans for 61 Kentucky counties.
