#CelebrateErica Campaign (Shaped by FAITH)

Lisa Greer, the mother of Erica Owen, the young nurse who was murdered in her home on July 3, 2018, and her friend, Suzanne Jagoe, a paralegal with a local law firm, are bringing awareness to domestic violence through the #CelebrateErica campaign.

Both ladies have been good friends for nearly twenty years. Suzanne Jagoe started the #CelebrateErica campaign as a way to try to bring something positive out of a negative situation. Both ladies wanted to do something in an effort to keep Erica’s memory alive and to bring awareness to stopping domestic violence.

If you are in an abusive situation you need to get help ASAP. Domestic violence and abuse stem from a desire to gain and maintain power and control over an intimate partner. Abusive people believe they have the right to control and restrict their partners, and they may enjoy the feeling that exerting power gives them.
