Changes For U.S. Roman Catholics

For about the last 50 years Roman Catholics have celebrated Mass the same way. During the last decade a new more formal experience was planned. Last Sunday those changes were implemented for the first time.

If you are simply sitting in the pew on Sunday and giving your response to the Priest the changes may seem small. To those on the other side of the Altar things are a bit different.

What brought those changes about and how will the Mass be different are questions put to Fr. Brad Whistle Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Owensboro.

Father Whistle stopped by the 1490 WOMI Studios this week so we could discuss the new 3rd Edition of the Missal. (A missal is a liturgical book containing all instructions and texts necessary for the celebration of Mass throughout the year.)
