On Tuesday May 5th, 2020 the Green River District Health Department reported 1 death and 19 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases – 8 in Daviess County, 2 in Henderson County, 7 in Ohio County, and 2 in Webster County. The COVID-19 related death was a Henderson County resident. The total number of reported COVID-19 cases in the district is 444. Twenty people in the district are currently hospitalized. Of the 444 confirmed cases in the district, 51 (11%) have required hospitalization. The district-wide total of recovered cases is now 226 (51%). As of May 4, 2020 the state of Kentucky was reporting 5,245 confirmed cased of COVID-19 and 261 statewide deaths.

The cases being reported from the Green River District Health Department have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
