- Book Fair- “Do Lunch with Someone Grand” and shop the book fair each day this week.
Friday, October 5th:
- Bobcat Bash- This is a school wide assembly focusing on student and staff achievements. Recognitions for students will include the Outstanding Attitude Awards and All- A and A/B Honor Roll students.

Sorgho Elementary School
Monday, 6:30 p.m.- 1st grade book club in our cafeteria- students who attend with their family will receive a free book.
Thursday, October 4 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.- 5th grade Historical Learn N Treat Cemetery Walk- Open to the public, $2 per person or $5 a family. One of our 5th grade classes has researched people in their social studies book and wrote articles to explain each historical figure's significance. Now, they will dress as that person and make a short speech about their significance at our 'cemetery' we will create on the walking trail. Students will portray these famous historical characters as other 5th grade students serve as tour guides through the cemetery. Children under age 12 will receive a treat from each character as they tour. It is a fundraiser for the DC trip.
Southern Oaks Elementary School
Wednesday Oct. 3rd - 3rd grade students will begin our College Tours with a visit to KWC at 10:00 AM and will then visit Trunnell Farms. 5th graders will participate in the Strings Attached program.
Thursday Oct. 4th - 5th grade students will participate in the Strings Attached program.

Tamarack Elementary School
Tuesday – 6 -7 pm. PTO “Night at the Museum” Wax Museum event. Students have research historical figures and will be dressed up and giving presentation about their chosen figure.

9-11:30 am Kindergarteners visit Reid’s Orchard
Thursday – 4th graders visit Botanical Garden and Museum 9am-1:30 pm
Friday – 9:00-11:30 am All Students K-5th grade celebrate their success and effort with Fall MAP testing with the FALL BREAKOUT!! Students will rotate game stations as we build upon our WORK HARD to PLAY HARD theme.
