Deer Park Elementary Celebrates Clifford Day
Deer Park Elementary School will celebrate “Clifford Day” on Wednesday, Feb. 15, in honor of author Norman Bridwell’s 84th birthday.
The school, located at 4959 New Hartford Road, has been sponsoring a Clifford reading contest, trivia contest and book writing contest leading up to the big day.
The school will be decorated and everyone will wear red on Wednesday, and the highlight of the celebration will take place when the school places a phone call to Mr. Bridwell at 8:30 a.m. The students will sing “Happy Birthday” to the famous author, and one student from each grade leve will have the opportunity to ask Mr. Bridwell a question.
