Dream Riders of Kentucky (Shaped by Faith)
Kelly Flick, the Executive Director of Dream Riders of Kentucky shared all the wonderful opportunities for those with special needs to experience at Dream Riders of KY.
Kelly talked about their Therapeutic riding program and the multiple health benefits of this program. Emphasis is given to improving gross and fine motor skills, behavioral skills, language/communication skills and social/emotional skills. Participants in our programs experience increased balance, coordination, posture, improved muscle tone and strength, as well as improved self-confidence and self-esteem.
The Carriage Ride Program is designed to provide the benefits of interacting with the horses to individuals whose physical conditions prevent them from participating in the Therapeutic Riding program or Group Ride program.
The Group Ride Program is a one-day, two hour block program designed for community agencies that provide services to individuals with disabilities and/or special needs.
Dream Riders of Kentucky, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies to adults and children with special needs.
