Firefighters Demonstrate How Hot a Car’s Inside Can Get [VIDEO]

To illustrate the dangers of leaving a child or a pet inside a hot car, two southern Indiana firefighters decided to show us JUST how hot an enclosed car can become.

They went live on Facebook Wednesday for the demonstration:

According to KidsandCars.Org, the recent tragedy in Evansville is 2019's 19th occurrence of a child's death resulting from being left in a hot vehicle.

Statistics show that 2018 is the worst year on record, with 52 such deaths recorded.

I've actually seen signs on store windows or doors asking patrons if they left a child in the car before they got out.

I guess that's how common this has become.

It's past time that checking our backseats every single time we exit our vehicles become a habit.
