Former President George H.W. Bush Shaves His Head in a Show of Support for Leukemia Patient [VIDEO]
What a great story! I've heard that shaving your head is the new combover. I also feel pretty sure that doesn't matter a bit to former President George H.W. Bush.
A member of President Bush's security has a 2-year-old son named Patrick and Patrick has leukemia. According to a Bush spokesman, the boy has lost almost all of his hair due to radiation treatments.
So, in a show of solidarity, the 89-year-old former chief executive decided to shave his head. Mr. Bush got the idea after noticing that members of his Secret Service detail--they're called the Bush Protective Division--had also shaved their heads in support of young Patrick.
President Bush has also launched a website to help with Patrick's medical bills.
It's called patrickspals.org.
