Incredible Local Talent Takes the Stage in WBKR’s Friday Night Finale
It's Week #12 of Friday After 5 in downtown Owensboro and there's absolutely no doubt that one of this week's highlights will be the finale of WBKR's talent search- The Friday Night Fight.
Throughout the first few weeks of Friday After 5's 25th Anniversary Season, we had open audition rounds on the Jagoe Homes Patio Stage. The goal? To find eight finalists to battle for our grand prize of $1000 and the right to perform on the Ruoff Party Stage on Friday, September 3rd. Not only will our winner play that stage, they'll play a full 1 1/2 hour set to open for Friday After 5's huge boy band extravaganza, which features members of Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees and more.

Meet the eight finalists for WBKR's Friday Night Fight talent contest. On Friday, August 6th, these eight talented acts will battle it out at the mic for our grand prize- $1000 and the right to be the opening act for the Boy Band Extravaganza (featuring members of Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and 98 Degrees) on Friday, Sept. 3rd on the Ruoff Party Stage at Friday After 5.

It's Week #12 of Friday After 5's 25th Anniversary Season in downtown Owensboro. Here's a look at who's taking the stage this week!
In addition to all kinds of entertainment along the "Mile of Music!", the Kroger Street Fair will be open from 5PM until 9PM. As always, it features some of the best food trucks and vendors from the area.
The organizers of Friday After 5 are also mindful of the recent rise in COVID-19 infections in the Green River District. Consequently, masks are encouraged in indoor facilities and safe, social distancing is encouraged in all public spaces.
