Two New Attractions Have Been Added To The Smokies Near Gatlinburg
There are a few new attractions on the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains and they're taking you to all new heights. We got a look at Harper Bros. Skylift, Cottages, and Horseback Riding Experience.
A BRAND-NEW ATTRACTION
Angel here and last month our family ventured to the Smokies. While I was there I met some super fun town folk who I made friends with and they told me all about the new things coming to the Smokies. One particular attraction really caught my attention. The Harper Bros. Mountain. It comes complete with an amazing Skylift, huge General Store, and Horseback riding.
THE HAWK
If you love going to new heights The Hawk Skylift will take you there. The Hawk’s Nest is approximately 2,150 feet above sea level. There’s an approximately 600-foot change of elevation from the bottom of the SkyLift to the top. It is about a 30-minutes roundtrip ride if you are in the mood to relax. One of the coolest parts they offer complimentary Moon Pies and water for your excursion. There are 56 chairs available on The Hawk.
THE HAWK INCLUSION
One of the things we love most is the owners of Harper Bros. thought of and included everyone. The Hawk SkyLift is handicapped-accessible. They told us they will assist guests with loading and unloading the SkyLift depending on specific needs. Dogs can even ride the Skylift depending on their temperament.
HORSEBACK RIDING
They have several horses available for horseback riding. Whether you're a beginner or feel right at home on a horse they have different rides for every person. They even have a ride that takes you right under The Hawk Skylift.
STAY AWHILE
Coming Soon! The newest addition to Harper Bros. will be cottages that guests can rent. They have a wedding cottage, three large cabins, four additional cabins a wedding chapel, a reception all, an event center, and an observation deck.
DO A LITTLE SHOPPING
You can make sure and take home more than just a memory from your visit to Harper Bros. They have a huge general store that supports local artists. You can grab snacks while you're there or even get a pick me up with a Starbucks coffee.
