RiverPark Center Hosting Interactive Showing of Disney's Frozen 2

One of the most fun experiences I have ever had in a theatre was in New York City's Circle in the Square Theatre back in 2000. Kevin and I went to a stage revival of The Rocky Horror Show. As expected, it was interactive. You could buy bags of props at the door and you were encouraged to use them during the show. The cast, by the way, was sensational. It included Joan Jett (yes, that one), who starred as Columbia and Dick Cavett, who played the narrator and actually sat in the audience as he narrated. It was a blast.

Of course, the movie version- The Rocky Horror Picture Show- has long been the subject of interactive movie experiences around the country and world. In so many ways, it set the bar for interactive film and that trend has gotten really popular at the RiverPark Center in downtown Owensboro.

During the pandemic, RiverPark has hosted a variety of movie showings with a shadow cast- folks on stage acting out what's happening on the screen and, in the instances of movie musicals, dancing to the same choreography you see in the actual films.

Well, they're gearing up for a new interactive film. The RiverPark's Interactive Film Experience returns on Saturday, February 26th with a movie that your kids probably already love. Yep! Frozen 2!

WHEN'S THE SHOW?

Showtime on the 26th is 2pm and you're invited to come to RiverPark and see the show inside Cannon Hall. Goodie bags will be available and, in true interactive film form, you're invited to wave those items in the air, throw them across the experience and make some noise!

For this particular movie, there will not be a shadow cast. However, some of your favorite Frozen friends will be in the lobby to greet you when you arrive for the show.

HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?

Tickets for the show are just $12 (plus taxes and fees). They're available for purchase on the RiverPark Center's website.

Our Interactive Film Experience's are BACK with Frozen 2 on February 26th at 2pm!

Enjoy the film on the big screen in Cannon Hall and are encourage to use your goodie bag filled with items to wave in the air, throw across the theatre, and even make noise with! The goodie bags will have party horns, glow sticks, cotton balls and a few surprises. And there may even be snow in the theatre.
