Who's been missing their favorite chicken?  I'm talking about Chick Fil A.  They closed earlier this summer and it's almost time for them to swing open those beautiful doors.

EAT MORE CHICKEN!

Angel here and at the beginning of the summer I began adding chicken back in my diet for more protein.  In high school, I loved going to the Chick Fil A in the mall and getting a sandwich and savoring every single bite.  Imagine my disappointment when I found out the Owensboro location was closing for the summer.

WHY THEY CLOSED

They in late spring they would be closing the Owensboro location for some brand new updates.  The renovation will cost close to $1.4 million dollars when it is all finished.  Here's what they had to say about renovations:

We are excited to share that our restaurant will be getting an update! We will close on Thursday, June 3rd at 9 pm to start the process. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates on our progress. We are excited to serve the community and will tentatively be re-opening in late July.

A WHOLE NEW LOOK

According to Unique Perspective Drone Services, there seems to be a new look and a few things missing.  The Children's play area is gone.  I know when I passed the other day I noticed there are two different drive-thru lines.  Here's the drone view and photos they took.

SET TO OPEN

While an official date has not been released we have heard from staff members and other sources the possible date is August 17.
