This Sunday most of us will be close to a big screen watching the biggest game of the year. It is more than a championship game, it is Party Time. Party Time means food, drink, and friends. Super Sunday is one of those days when the Chef in the family will show off their special dishes. In our family the "Chef" is my wife, Kathy.

In the next few years Kathy may have some competition from Granddaughter Brittani but for right now (and the past 39 years) she is Queen of the Kitchen. I have talked her into sharing some of her favorite recipes with us weekly right here on the 1490WOMI website.

While some will open bags of chips and dips, Kathy will make her own. Yes both dip and the Chips.  The Chips are easy, take some  tortilla flour rounds and slice them up, spray a little Pam on a cookie sheet, brush

some melted butter on the tortilla chips and sprinkle a bit of chili seasoning. Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Bingo "YOU HAVE CHIPS". The Dip is a bit more difficult but even a neanderthal like me can do it.

Here is Kathy Lowe's Recipe for Warm and Creamy Cheese Dip.

1( 16 oz.) container Sour Cream

2 cups Shedded Cheddar Cheese or Parmesan

1 (8 oz. Package Cream Cheese (softened)

1 (3  oz.) Jar of Bacon Bits (buy the good stuff PLEASE)

1/4 Tsp. Cajun Seasonings or 1/4 Tsp. Dried Oregano and 1/4 Tsp. Dried Basil Flakes

1 Cup Chopped Green Onions (optional)

Heat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, stir together all ingredients and place in a greased 1-quart baking dish or pie plate. Cover and bake 25-30 minutes or until heated throughout. Stir after 5-10 minutes, to blend cheese. Service with the home make chips above or some Veggies. Veggies? on SuperBowl Sunday? Aren't veggies against the law on that day?
