He Said He Would Do It – Rick Pitino’s New Tattoo

Toward mid season in the NCAA basketball world- Coach Rick Pitino of the Cardinals promised his players he would get a tattoo if his team went all the way.  Even after they lost Kevin Ware to a leg injury in the elite 8 the team still surged forward and won the title.  Meaning that Pitino would soon be going under the needle and keep his promise. 

Pitino's new ink is on his left shoulder.  A red Louisville "L" next to "2013" in rememberance to his strong champions. 

Louisville went 35-5 on the season after beating Michigan University in the National Championship 82-76, making Pitino the only Coach ever to get 2 championships with 2 different schools.  Senior guard Peyton Siva said after the victory against M.U. "Our biggest motivation was to get Coach a tattoo."  That they did and Pitino said the tattoo wasn't even close to the pain he had with kidney stones.
