Kentucky Restaurants and Bars Ordered Closed Due to Coronavirus
BREAKING NEWS this morning. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear just held a news conference to address the latest developments with the coronavirus and how the Commonwealth of Kentucky is working to contain the spread of it.
In that conference, Governor Beshear followed the lead of other governors from other states like Ohio and Illinois in ordering restaurants and bars to close their dining rooms. The order suggests that this be completed and accomplished by 5pm TODAY.
In order to help offset the financial strain for such businesses, Governor Beshear is asking and urging Kentuckians to order take out and use delivery services to help support those businesses.
Governor Beshear also encouraged Kentuckians to band together and use social media hashtags #TeamKentucky and #TogetherKY
He assured residents of the state that "We will get through this."
In the same news conference, Governor Beshear confirmed the Commonwealth's first coronavirus death. A 66-year-old patient from Bourbon County has passed away. However, health officials believe that the coronavirus was only one factor of several leading to his death.
