Lifetime Takes on ‘Patsy & Loretta’ [VIDEO]

The recent PBS docuseries Country Music reminded viewers of the friendship between Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Their story has been dramatized in Oscar-winning film Coal Miner's Daughter. Lifetime will take on the country icons' story in Patsy & Loretta.

Smash star and Tony nominee Megan Hilty plays Patsy with another musical theater veteran and Tony winner Jessie Mueller taking on the role of Loretta. The film is directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter (Thelma & Louise) and Tennessee native Callie Khouri.

Though their friendship was tragically cut short when Cline was killed in a plane crash in 1963, their bond and influence live on.

Patsy & Loretta premieres this Saturday night (October 19th) at 7:00 p.m. CT.
