Live Music Will Happen During the ‘Bar-B-Q Block Party’ in Downtown Owensboro
Last week it was announced that the 2021 International Barbecue Festival would become a 'Bar-B-Q Block Party'. At that time it was also shared that there would be no live music or beer garden. That's all about to change!
Louie’s Spring Fling! with Bar Louie in Downtown Owensboro is the first to step up and offer live music on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. On Monday, March 1st, 2021 the organizers of the International Barbecue Festival announced the one-day event, but live music would not be offered. It's such a big part of the festival experience, so this is exciting news to share.
Frederica Street will be shut down in front of Bar Louie and a big stage will be set up outside. Set to perform, Josh Stevens, 181 south, and DJ 808 with special guest W!Fi. There will be outdoor seating and an outdoor cash bar for drinks. Music will get started at 1PM and will continue until 11PM on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. $5 pulled pork sandwiches will also be offered and drink specials will available inside and outside of Bar Louie.
