Louisville Rooftop Bar to Keep Patio Open in Winter with Heated Igloos [VIDEO]

If you love your nightlife outdoors, Louisville has a popular bar called the 8UP Elevated Drinkery and Kitchen and they plan to keep their rooftop patio bar open during the winter.

How in the world, you might ask?

Well, how about heated igloos?

Now, THERE'S an oxymoron I can live with. And, there will be snow machines, too.

WLKY/Louisville says they're calling it (and why not)...IgLouisville.

Now, if you're wondering about the view of the city--and Louisville's downtown is really beautiful and has one of the BEST skylines--you need not worry.

The view from the rooftop will be maintained because these heated igloos are clear.

Each one holds up to eight people and feature themes like Bourbon Barrel, Paradise, Diamonds & Fur, Red Velvet, Winter Lodge, and Dining & Disco.

Personally, I like the sound of Winter Lodge.

Of course, you just can't show up and decide you want to spend your evening in one of the igloos. You have to rent them.

But it sounds like a lot of fun.

There's also an "igloo bar" in Nashville.

Hey, winter is most people's choice for least favorite season. This is one way to liven it up, I guess.
