PRIDE organized the symposium to explore ways to create beautiful entryways into our community. First impressions shape the future image of our community. With new road improvements, Greater Owensboro has a unique opportunity to create some of the most beautiful city entrances anywhere.

PRIDE members are excited to have Abramson as well as Paul Kissinger of EDSA, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida firm that designed Owensboro's downtown redevelopment plan, as our guests. Following their comments, there will be a panel discussion.

Please join us. Lunch will be provided. Please reserve your spot by May 16 by calling 685-2652 or e-mailing kathy.strobel@plfo.org.

PRIDE members look forward to hearing the guests' insight.

Abramson is known for creating public/private partnerships to enhance communities. In 2008, the U.S. Conference of Mayors acknowledged Abramson's impact when it named Louisville "America's Most Livable Large City."

Kissinger is a principal in EDSA, which has five decades of experience in planning, landscape architecture and urban design. This internationally acclaimed firm developed Owensboro's downtown master plan and countless other projects across the globe.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so join PRIDE for this special event.
