Munday Center and Bellevue Baptist Win Ntal Award

Big news for the Munday Activity Center and Bellevue Baptist Church. Their Backpacks for Seniors Progam has been noticed nationally. This is just one way the Munday Center partners with local churches and agencies to insure our Seniors are well taken care of.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) has awarded the Munday Activity Center a National award for Program of Excellence for the collaborative program with Bellevue Baptist Church designated as Backpacks for Seniors. 

Typically, the week before social security/pension checks arrive, proves difficult for some seniors to meet basic needs.

Each month this program supplies a week’s worth of groceries/hygiene products to seniors needing assistance to aid overcoming this hurdle.
