My love affair with peanut butter is one of my longest. It dates back to before I can remember stuff.

HOWEVER, my love affair with peanut butter doesn't extend very far beyond the jar and the sandwich.

Also, something I enjoyed when I was a kid, I now find disgusting. That's odd, since it's usually the other way around.

But it's peanut butter and baloney sandwiches. Don't ask me why I decided to try that when I was a kid. But I did and I liked it. A lot.

A few years ago, I tried it again (yeah, it didn't stick with me the whole; should've been a warning). Horrible. What on Earth was I thinking?

Now, back to GOOD ways to enjoy peanut butter.

I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Only I don't use jelly. I use fruit spread which is just sweetened with the fruit that was used to make the spread.

And my favorite is strawberry. And since I also love the strawberry/banana combo, adding sliced bananas is an amazing treat.

But, seriously, you can't go wrong with peanut butter and banana sandwiches. NOR can you can go wrong with taking a Girl Scout Trefoil, spreading a little peanut butter on it, and then adding a slice of banana.

Heaven.

I also like peanut butter cookies and peanut butter fudge (in very small doses because it's so rich...and only at Christmas). I do not like peanut butter pie or peanut butter ice cream.

And I cannot STAND hot peanut butter. So no sandwiches on toast. And while I loved Dyer's Burgers in Memphis last weekend, I broke from the crowd and was not a fan of the deep fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. The PB was runny and just didn't work for me.

So, what works for YOU? What's your favorite brand of peanut butter and your favorite way to enjoy it?
