Owensboro's Julius Maddox Sets Out To Break World Record

Owensboro's Julius Maddox is currently ranked #1 in the world for raw bench press. This weekend he will travel to Corpus Christi to attempt to break the world record.

Julius will make an appearance at "The Battle of the Bay" where he will compete against 100 plus participants.

He will be attempting to put up 740 pounds in raw bench. The current record holder is Russian Powerlifter, Kirll Sarychev, with a lift of 738.2 pounds in 2015.

This is a life-changing event for Julius. More people have walked on the moon than have lifted what Julius has in his career.
