Both 2nd District Congressman Brett Guthrie and U.S. Senior Senator from Kentucky, Mitch McConnell have issued statements on the Supreme Court "Obama Care" Ruling.

First Congressman Guthrie:

“While the Supreme Court determined today that the health care law is constitutional, it does not mean it is good policy.  Today’s ruling does not change my belief that this law was an overreach and a burden on small businesses and patients.   I have voted to repeal the President’s health care law and will continue to advocate for its repeal.  Additionally, I will push for critical reforms that focus on controlling costs and empowering patients within the health care system.

“Obamacare has caused uncertainty and harmed our struggling economy.  Our goal should be to lower costs for families and do no further harm to our economy, and Obamacare fails on both fronts.

“Since its passage, our health care system has been plagued by burdensome regulations and uncertainty.  Most Americans agree that controlling costs and maintaining affordable insurance rates are a top priority.  We need meaningful solutions that reduce costs, improve quality, and make health care more affordable and more accessible.”

This is the statement from Republican Leader Mitch McConnell:
