Nathan Satterly has been named principal at West Louisville Elementary School, replacing Connie Morgan who is retiring at the conclusion of the 2010-11 school year.  Nathan has served the past four years as Assistant Principal at Burns Middle School.

As assistant principal at BMS, his responsibilities have included math curriculum, special education as well as teacher evaluations and student discipline.

Satterly earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in middle grades education with an emphasis on social studies and math and received a master’s degree with math emphasis.  He earned his Rank I from WKU in administration.

Prior to serving as assistant principal he taught 7th and 8th grade social studies and math for ten years at Burns Middle School.

Nathan and his wife Beth have been married for 15 years.  They have two sons, Connor 10 and Noah 6.

The announcement of Satterly as principal at West Louisville Elementary School was made Friday following a meeting of the School-Based Decision Making Council.
