The 2022 USSSA Fastpitch Great Lakes Nationals are coming to the Evansville area, bringing 180 teams from around the country, ranging in ages from eight to 18.

This past weekend hundreds of 12 and under girls traveled to Alabama to battle it out for the World Series title. One of those teams was the Kentucky Chrome from right here in Daviess County.
16-year-old Caitlyn Lawson has being playing softball since she was 6-years-old. And she's really good at it. In fact, the Daviess County High School standout plays for a traveling team called the Kentucky Mustangs, who, in October, competed at the St. Louis College Showcase Tournament. That's where Caitlyn was involved in one of the worst home-plate collisions I have ever seen.
The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is currently taking registrations for the Spring/Summer Adult Softball Leagues. Teams may register for one of the following league nights:
Monday Co-Ed League,
Tuesday Men’s League,
Wednesday Co-Ed League,
Thursday Men’s League.
