Three Things Others Love But I Don’t [VIDEO]

I had the idea of writing a blog like this a couple of months ago. Disclaimer: Just because I don't like something, doesn't mean it isn't cool or inspiring to someone else. We can agree to disagree, here we go.

1. The Notebook and really any "rom-com"

Oh, where do I begin. I assure you I do have a heart. For the past year and half, I've been in the longest relationship of my adult life, and there is romance involved. I can't quite put my finger on why The Notebook irks me. I think most, but not all romantic comedies have a very predictable formula which is why they are frustrating to sit through. Ryan Gosling, yes, he's a rugged heart throb, but come on! He's definitely a big selling point. I think "rom-coms" don't show a lot of reality. But hey, it's a movie, I get it. Why is there so much rain?

2. The song "Tainted Love" 

Ha ha! I promise you this is not going to be a "I loathe love" fest. It's a good song, but there's something about it that I just can't get over. I have the short version here because the 9 minute version breaks into The Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go". It was originally recorded in 1965 and it's been covered most recently by shock rocker Marilyn Manson. Is it wrong I actually like his version?

3. LOST

Here's where a lot of you will strongly disagree with me. I tell you I tried to watch it. I love a good mystery/sci-fi/screws with your head series, but Lost literally lost me. Oh yeah, I had friends tell me everything that was going on and I sat there, listening, knowing I would never invest the time in checking it out for myself. Guilty, but I own it.

Oh this is just the beginning of a list I made. And I will soon share the things I love and others don't. It's only fair. What about you?
